Muscle Activation Technique (M.A.T.)

M.A.T. is a hands-on treatment that corrects muscular imbalances which lead to pain and stiffness, the culprits that interfere with sports performance and daily life! M.A.T. works by "activating" muscles that are "inhibited" (not working properly). When a muscle is inhibited, adjacent muscles have to do extra work to compensate. This creates a muscle imbalance that often leads to pain or injury.

"I appreciate that you are constantly learning and refining your knowledge and skills. You are empathetic and seem to sense when I want to talk or need a quiet retreat. Your enthusiastic manner makes me feel good even before I experience M.A.T. or massage."   ~ SWG

M.A.T. starts with a quick range-of-motion evaluation from head to toe. Special attention is paid to restricted areas of movement. You will want to dress in comfortable clothes, as you will be an active participant in your M.A.T. session.

Muscle Activation Technique (M.A.T.) was developed by Greg Roskopf, who has worked as a Biomechanics Consultant for the Denver Broncos, Denver Nuggets and Utah Jazz. For more information about M.A.T., visit Greg's muscle activation web site.
